The Christ of God!

In today's modern world, can we trust the content of a book written thousands of years ago? Is it relevant to base understanding on such an old book?
Let us look further..

1) Does the word of God tell us how to be free from all of the world's burdens?

Yes, God's plan was prepared right from the beginning. If you already studied, “The Source of Evil”, you then have a better idea, where most of our planet's issues emanate from. For this matter, Our Heavenly Father, Almighty GOD had an immediate plan to redeem His creation. Although, we have fallen to the seducing voice of the devil. God has given us an opportunity to go back to Him. Some of us might say - I'm not a sinner. However, sin is the transgression of God's moral law (lying, stealing, fornicating, coveting, hating, etc.).

1 John 3:4 KJV
Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.

We have all sinned and come very short to be worthy of Him. Yet, he wants us back and that's why He came to earth in the flesh to reveal His Kingdom and to save us from sin.

John 3:16-17 KJV
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

2) What sins do I need to be saved from?

Sadly, our first parents committed sin by disobeying God's commandment. As a result, we are all conceived in sin.

Psalms 51:5 KJV
Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.

We are formed in sin and prone to naturally commit it. Nonetheless, we have the greatest gift of salvation through Jesus Christ (God in the flesh), who is the only way to the father, the only source of pure truth, and eternal life!

John 14:6 KJV
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.

The Savior from God, Christ Jesus, paid for all our sins, which are adultery, fornication, lasciviousness, idolatry, wrath, strife, heresies, idolatry, sorcery, murder, etc.

Galatians 5:19-21 KJV
Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20 Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21 Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.

3) What do I need to do to be saved?

The first step to accept God's gift of salvation for the remission of our sins is to confess Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior, truly repenting of our sins, and obeying God's moral law.

Romans 10:9 KJV
That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.

Since We don't have the power to cleanse ourselves from our sins. We can only be cleansed through the blood of Christ, the Lamb of God! This is exactly why Jesus died on the cross. Ada and Eve forfeited earth dominion, when they listened to the devil and sinned!

Jeremiah 2:22 KJV
For though thou wash thee with nitre, and take thee much soap, yet thine iniquity is marked before me, saith the Lord God.

and

Job 14:17 KJV
My transgression is sealed up in a bag, and thou sewest up mine iniquity.

That’s why He paid the ultimate price when he was nailed to the wooden cross, taking the power from Satan, which he took from Adam and Eve! Now, we are given a new opportunity to be saved, redeemed, in Christ Jesus, who gave Himself as a ransom for our Salvation!

Isaiah 53:3-7 KJV
He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not. 4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted. 5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed. 6 All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and the Lord hath laid on him the iniquity of us all. 7 He was oppressed, and he was afflicted, yet he opened not his mouth: he is brought as a lamb to the slaughter, and as a sheep before her shearers is dumb, so he openeth not his mouth.

4) Once we understand what we are up against! How can I surrender to God's son?

First, one must die to sin (lying, immorality, lasciviousness, pride, rage, cursing, wrath, impatience, etc.) daily!

1 Corinthians 15:31 KJV
I protest by your rejoicing which I have in Christ Jesus our Lord, I die daily.

In order to accomplish such changes, we must keep our eyes fixed on Jesus Christ our Savior, whose character we must imitate. Remember, Jesus is always knocking at the door of our hearts, ready to help and be support and strength when we need it the most!

Revelation 3:20 KJV
Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

That's why we must accept and surrender to Him as our only Redeemer and Savior. The only true source of truth, peace, and ongoing joy.

Acts 4:12 KJV
Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved.

At times, we try to solve our worldly desires by accumulating lots of material things. Nevertheless, we are never satisfied, the netted heart is never mended, there's never enough. The Only one, who can mend and fill our hearts is our Heavenly Father, Almighty GOD and the Lord Jesus Christ. Ask, taste, and see – The Lord is merciful and very good! Very Good Indeed!

Matthew 6:33 KJV
But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.

5) Ultimately, what will happen with all of us who have accepted God's son as our personal Savior?

The word of God states - we will be given the right to be called Sons of God.

John 1:12-13 KJV
But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name..

As His people we must do, heed, and obey His will. We are now driven by God's Holy Spirit and as obedient children we do His will and follow His commandments.

Romans 8:14 KJV
For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

As Christians, we no longer can do the deeds of the world and the prince of the air, meaning the devil. We have been purchased by Christ Jesus and our main goal is to follow His lead all the way to the ends of the world.

2 Corinthians 6:17-18 KJV
Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you. 18 And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty.

We must indeed heed to His word and character.

Revelation 1:3 KJV
Blessed is he that readeth, and they that hear the words of this prophecy, and keep those things which are written therein: for the time is at hand.

Finally, when all is over - God will reestablish a new heaven and a new earth, where He will be with us forevermore and evil and sin will be completely eradicated, thrown in the lake of fire!
